Good morning beautiful people,
I would apologise, but you know that historically I have not been the most excellent nor consistent writer on this platform, but I say that, hoping that you are connected to my heart and can understand deeply when I tell you this.
I’m not a fan of just saying anything, so I only speak when necessary.
That being said, you know that I always resurface with new energy and Plato very quickly, and the truth is I’ve not created great systems for success + I am my own boss, which means the majority of my time is spent putting out fires with my teams.
So when your last post from me was this daily write-up challenge and then me dying out on day 5, then I mean I get it… You have a right to be disappointed.
But I promise you, this is an area that I am conscious of and believe me when I tell you this— I’m fixing this but I need your help.
Whilst I’ve been gone, here are a few things that I’ve been doing whilst I’ve been absent!
1. We brought 50+ creatives together in Manchester.
I’ve had this vision of connecting people to people they must meet and creating an ecosystem fuelled by ideators and driven by doers, so a lot of my year has been tunnel-visioned into creating programmes and opportunities for creators!
We’ve done a few things like run our first mentorship programme, impacting over 25 people to create more consciously.
We’ve been building a great catalogue of material for creators + built out an amazing team that is helping serve the mission, but one that really lit me up personally was seeing 50+ creators come together in the North of England!
In short, we’ve been doing some major work over Tribe318, so check us out, and join us!
2. I spent 5 days in Wales, documenting the experience of 150+ young people encountering God.
I got to spend 5 days amongst beautiful people, fellowshipping, praying, connecting and overall doing life together.
It was amazing to lead the social team bringing my stamp to the On Mission team, showing the moments I witnessed through the lens of my camera, especially as I— A few years ago, experienced the beautiful whispers of Jesus.
It was an amazing time, and I’d definitely recommend it (Click the video and watch the epic video I made!)
3. Lots of shooting.
I’m still one of the best photographers out there 👀, so the last few months I’ve worked with some amazing clients, like CLINTSINC.
4. Lots of impactful conversations.
Over the last few months, I was back on the road speaking to hundreds of young people. Sharing my story of becoming, with the mission to reignite the future leaders of tomorrow to begin again today.
I’ve missed public speaking, so it was so great to return to the early moments that really defined my passion for people.
5. Beats By Dre X Josiah
I’ve done quite a number of campaigns this year, with brands like Crowne Plaza, TkMaxx, Adidas etc., but this campaign for many reasons was full circle.
I mean I love music and the heritage of Beats By Dre, inspired a lot of my early art. I remember buying my first pair of Beats in secondary school. I only could raise enough money to buy a second-hand pair from CEX, but when I did, it channelled my inner producer— I felt powerful.
So a few years later to work with them was amazing + A particular difference of this campaign to others was that I also had to do a little bit of writing, so to be recognised not just as a creator, but as a voice was a nice addition to this moment.
6. Deep Fellowship with 50 Young People.
I most recently headed back from another retreat in the Peak District, after spending 5 days with some of the best people in the world— Many I hold dearly now.
It was just so beautiful to be amongst believers who are nurturing their relationship with the lord, and even more humbling being able to be the guest speaker, leading a session around the mission of God, and how we can become if we correctly align our view of him from his own introduction himself.
It was just a great time to study the word and push deeper.
It’s crazy to think that a few years ago, I was sat in the same questions that some of them currently sit in.
Humbled fr
7. From Story to Brand: Online Class.
I love stories I love people and I love teaching, and so I’ve spent a considerable amount of time doing exactly that!
I recently ran the second installment of a masterclass of sorts, about the power of storytelling. Diving into the arsenal of my experience, and guiding some eager ears through a moment of discovery from my story to theirs.
This was so fulfilling, like sooooo fulfilling that I’ve made a personal pledge to myself to continue to do this throughout the year!
That’s just 7 moments that really mattered to me across the last few months, but honestly, I cannot tell you how many things actually happened, however, one thing I can say is that I gave myself permission to not feel guilty about starting and not finishing because what’s most important amongst all things, is to make sure the important things continue.
So as I share a few impactful moments in my personal life, I hope not only to bring you into the everyday, but to remind you of the most important thing ever — At least to me.
Die empty.
This is a personal mission of mine, now not to sound morbid but this is one of the most important things that define my life. It goes above any need to be understood by the world, it goes above consistency, it goes above movement— It’s a pledge to do everything in my power to do the work that has been assigned to me.
A fulfilled life for me is not to be known as the best one to do, but to be the one that did their best.
And so I want to assure you that as I seem to stop and start, I’d love to charge you all to continue to believe in me, as you already have so much— Because you are all a vital part of me leaving this earth empty.
So if occasionally I cannot bring you the cup of water I aim to, then be patient with me… I’m digging the well!
Make sure you do the same in your lives— Do the important work!
Love you guys, see you soon!
