My Top 3 Most Challenging but Illuminating Reads
If you’re looking for something to rekindle that fire again, well here’s the perfect opportunity to try to light a spark again. Here are 3 reads that I hope will challenge and illuminate you.
What’s up folks, I know I’ve been missing for a hot minute, I’ve been doing a few critical things—many of which, I will share with you all in time.
So I apologise profusely!
Why am I here?
Well first of all I miss you, folks! I hope you didn’t forget about me because I thought about you all. Some of you held me in a chokehold in the DMs, it was crazy but I do love some accountability.
Secondly, there have been many changes. For example, I moved to Manchester this summer, and I got to channel my inner interior designer to really make this place feel like home.
I hosted a masterclass In Toronto.
Before that, I spent a month away in Canada executing a few ideas I wanted to do for a while. Yes, I took a huge risk, booked a studio in Toronto, put some tickets out there and actually had people show up. It felt surreal sharing with Models, Photographers and Creatives about my journey, and also practically sharing my approach and ethos to creating compelling stories through imagery.
Side note if you were too scared to do that one thing you wanted to, get it done. You’re more ready than you know! I still get chills thinking about it because honestly it was a huge success, and for me— Just such a huge personal confidence win.
It’s incredible how much impact you can make from a distance.
Never doubt yourself.
Off-topic but here’s something that’s crazy, look at the feet of the model in the picture. I promise you this wasn’t planned, and I didn’t notice until now, but she’s even got my socks on, how brazy!
If you didn’t take yourself seriously before, well just try and see where it goes.
Okay, why are you here, well thirdly whilst I go down memory lane over the next few weeks I thought I’d also give you a few gems to read in case you happened to join this community a little later than others.
I’m gonna leave you with 3 write-ups that I think will give you a good sense of myself, my passion and my mission. Also If you’re looking for something to rekindle that fire again, well here’s the perfect opportunity to try to light a spark again.
My Top 3 Most Challenging but Illuminating Reads
If ever in doubt, go back. I’ve spent a lot of this week looking at things I conquered and truly they inspired me to re-commit to the things that very rapidly got heavy.
Often being such a future-focused individual you never stop to take stock of what’s already gone by, thus you end up being so narrow-minded and eventually you burn out, but I’ve found that seasons of waiting, and re-introduction often are aided by our reflection.
What I’m saying is, moving forward often means looking back frequently, so I leave you with these old write-ups to keep you busy— As I figure myself out and spend the next few months re-strategising and re-committing.
Stay blessed family, and please do share your thoughts with me. I love hearing from you all!
